Jad Donaldson

A proven leader in business aviation, he brings extensive experience aligning aviation operations with corporate strategy and financial objectives.

Jad has deep expertise in fleet planning, aircraft acquisition and disposition, budget management, and the development of safety management systems and standard operating procedures that support best-in-class flight operations. His background spans private and public business aviation as well as air medical transport.

He serves on the ISBAO Standards Board, helping shape global safety standards for business aviation, and is a board member of the Corporate Aircraft Association (CAA). Jad is also an active member of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and previously served as Chairman and Past Co-Chair of the NBAA Business Aviation Management Committee.

An accomplished Airline Transport Pilot, Jad is type-rated in Gulfstream, Bombardier, and Cessna Citation aircraft and remains deeply committed to advancing excellence in aviation.

Joe Budd

Joe has been an active pilot since 1979 and holds Commercial, Multi-Engine, Helicopter, Seaplane, Flight Instructor, and several Citation Type Ratings.

Joe has served CAA for over 10 years, joining the Board of Directors in 2015. In addition to CAA, Joe is a member of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, The Cannon Foundation Advisory Board, High Point University Board of Ambassadors, and the North Carolina Executive Leadership Group.

Joe is a lifetime member of AOPA and EAA and also a member of NBAA, CJP, and Pilatus Owners and Pilots Association

Howard Janzen

Howard Janzen is CEO of ZeroTwelve, a startup producing carbon negative concrete. He has served as CEO and Chairman for several communications and energy companies. He was the CEO of Cool Planet Energy Systems, which CNBC ranked as a “Top 25 Disruptor of 2014” alongside SpaceX and Uber. He served as CEO of Boston based One Communications, the U.S.’s largest privately held telecom service provider for businesses. He served as President of Sprint Business Solutions, leading a $12 billion global operation and as President of Sprint’s Global Markets Group responsible for an $8 billion long distance business. Janzen served as President, CEO and Chairman of Williams Communications Group where he led the company in completing a $7 billion fiber optics network and completed the largest IPO in the telecom industry, at that time, with peak market capitalization of $30 billion. He has served as a board member or CEO for 13 startup businesses.

Janzen earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in metallurgical engineering from The Colorado School of Mines and is a licensed Professional Engineer. He completed the Harvard Business School PMD Program for Management Development. He is an active commercial, instrument rated pilot with over 9,500 hours of flying time who has flown his airplanes around the world and to 72 countries.

Zane Lambert

Zane Lambert grew up in central Florida, where he began flying lessons at the age of 15.  He earned his private pilot’s license while in high school, then enrolled at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL.

After graduation in 1984 Zane moved to the mid-south for several years of flight instruction and charter flying.  In 1988 he moved to Laurel, MS to fly a MU-2 for a corporate operator and has been living there ever since.

In 1994 Zane became a full-time employee of Sanderson Farms, piloting the company’s Beechcraft Baron.  By 2020 Zane was managing a fleet that had grown to seven mid-size jet aircraft and a staff of almost 40.  In 2023 Sanderson Farms sold and merged into what is now Wayne-Sanderson Farms.  The aviation department currently operates three G280s and manages a fourth.

CAA members since 1996 and a board member since 2017, Zane says, “the value proposition of being a CAA member has always been outstanding, but being on the board and seeing the growth and maturity of the organization has been a treat.  CAA just keeps getting better for everyone involved!”

David Scobey
President & CEO

David Scobey serves as President and CEO of the Corporate Aircraft Association, bringing with him a wealth of executive leadership experience in both corporate and nonprofit sectors. Before joining CAA, David retired as President and CEO of AT&T Southeast, where he led the organization through a critical era of growth and transformation. Prior to AT&T, he held numerous leadership roles at BellSouth, where he helped shape the telecommunications landscape across the Southeastern United States.

David's transition into aviation reflects his passion for service, operational excellence, and strategic development. At CAA, he is committed to advancing the association’s mission of supporting Part 91 operators with trusted fuel pricing, loyal network connections, and real-world value.

David holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Auburn University and is a graduate of Harvard University’s prestigious Advanced Management Program.

Jamie Stember

Jamie’s professional aviation career spans over three decades and includes extensive experience in private, charter, and airline operations, with more than 12,000 flight hours logged across diverse global environments. His background encompasses both flying and leadership roles that have shaped his deep understanding of business aviation.
Currently, Jamie serves as Captain on a Global 7500 for Eagle Aircraft, operating for ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI). His prior experience includes leading a Part 91 flight department for a Baltimore-based family office, managing operations of Challenger 604 and 605 aircraft.

Jamie earned his NBAA Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) designation in September 2008. In 2016, he was appointed to the CAM Governing Board, where he chaired the reaccreditation task force, and in 2018, was elected Chair of the CAM Governing Board, serving two terms. In recognition of his contributions, Jamie was among the inaugural recipients of the CAM Fellow Designation in 2024.

Since 2015, Jamie has also served on the Board of Directors of the Corporate Aircraft Association (CAA), where he has held the roles of Secretary and Treasurer and continues to contribute actively. Additionally, after four years of dedicated involvement, he was elected Chair of the Bombardier Challenger 600 Advisory Committee in 2017.

These leadership roles reflect Jamie’s commitment to advancing the standards and community of business aviation. He remains passionate about supporting and sustaining Part 91 flight departments, believing they are vital to the fabric of the industry.
